Lexia Contract Advisor

An AI contract advisor built for construction execution

Lexia answers your construction-contract questions and shows the clauses behind every answer.

Understand your contractual position without manually tracing the package. Get an AI answer with the contract wording there to check before you act.

Connected construction contract pages and a drawing converge into an interpreted answer with links back to supporting material.

The execution problem

Understanding your position takes more than finding a clause

Contract questions arise across notices, variations, payments, and claims. The answer may depend on how clauses, definitions, special conditions, and amendments work together.

Tracing those connections takes time and expertise. Under project pressure, an overlooked condition can leave the team acting on an incomplete understanding.

Lexia Condensed example

Who provides site access — and can I claim if it is not provided?

1

Summary

Under Sub-clause 2.2.1, the Authority grants the legal right of access.

Physical access roads are the Contractor’s responsibility under Sub-clause 3.15 and Sub-clause 3.3.1.

2

Contractual basis

Sub-clause 2.2.1 grants access, subject to Sub-clause 2.2.4.

Read these with Sub-clause 3.3.1 [Site Conditions] and Sub-clause 3.15 [Access Route] to distinguish legal access from physical roads.

3

Procedure & conditions

If the Authority fails to grant access, relief may apply under Sub-clause 2.2.2.

Meet the preconditions, give notice and submit an impact assessment under Sub-clause 19.1 [Contractor’s Claims].

4

Deadlines & time bars

Under Sub-clause 19.1.1, give notice within 28 days of awareness.

Sub-clause 19.1.2 requires an impact assessment within 28 days after notice; late submission bars the claim under Sub-clause 19.1.6(b).

How it works

AI that follows the contract expert’s approach

Lexia uses a multi-step AI process that mirrors how a contract expert approaches a question. It interprets the issue, examines the relevant contractual material, follows connected clauses, and builds an answer grounded in the contract.

Contract relationships matter. A definition can change the meaning of a term. Special conditions can modify a general clause. Cross-references can introduce further requirements. Lexia’s answering process brings these connections into consideration.

Before questions begin, Lexia structures the package to preserve its clauses, definitions, and cross-references.
